Life and Interaction

Interior Design by Yu-Tang Chen

Passing through the large ceiling windows, the sunlight makes the indoor space wider and smoother. To create a joyful life, the designer skillfully installs a rotating TV wall between the living and dining room, allowing people to watch TV from either space.

The Life and Interaction interior design by Yu-Tang Chen is a unique and innovative approach to creating a comfortable and interactive living space. The design is inspired by the abundance of natural light that enters the space through large ceiling windows, creating a sense of openness and expansiveness. The use of sunlight and white walls presents a life of happiness, while the rotating TV wall adds a touch of versatility and flexibility to the living and dining areas.

One of the standout features of this design is the establishment of a wide and interactive space specifically designed to bring the client closer to their pets. This demonstrates the designer's attention to detail and understanding of the client's needs and desires. By creating a space that allows for closer interaction with pets, the design enhances the overall quality of life for both the client and their furry companions.

The design also incorporates various colors and materials to create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The study room and bedrooms feature doors with different colors and materials, while the wall painting and stylish lighting in the dining room cast an invigorating and warm ambiance. The use of open-storage design and iron works in the partial public area adds a touch of vigor and uniqueness to the space.

The Life and Interaction interior design covers a total area of 248 square meters and was completed in July 2016 in Tainan City, Taiwan. The design team, led by Yu-Tang Chen, successfully overcame creative, technical, and research challenges to bring this design to life. The terrace, in particular, showcases the warm quality of materials through the play of sunlight, making it an integral part of the overall design.

The Life and Interaction interior design has received recognition for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
